1970-2004 Primary Energy Price per Million Btu.
Source: Bureau of Economic Analysis and Energy Information Administration
This figure shows that there is not much difference between the state and the nation in primary energy price per million Btu. Since the early 80s, a combination of lower energy prices and higher state GDP has contributed to the drop of in price per million Btu. However, in recent years the price of primary fuel has grown faster than the state GDP resulting in a steady climb in price per million Btu.
