-Natural gas includes a small amount of supplemental gaseous fuels that cannot be identified separately.
-Ethanol blended into motor gasoline is included in both "Petroleum" and "Biomass," but is counted only once in total consumption.

By comparison, this figure details Arkansas energy consumption by fuel type. Again, just as in the nation as a whole, petroleum, natural gas, and coal are the largest contributors to consumption. Together petroleum, natural gas, and coal make up 78.1 percent of Arkansas total energy consumption. However, nuclear energy contributes 13.9 percent to Arkansas total consumption, compared to 8.2 percent for the nation, and biomass fuels contribute 6.7 percent compared to 0.4 percent for the nation.
