The table above documents the proved reserves of natural gas in each state. Arkansas had the 17th largest proved reserves of natural gas as of 2005. In the coming years, marketed production in Arkansas as well as proved reserves will increase substantially as companies begin exploration and extraction in the Fayetteville Shale Play.
