1970-2004 Arkansas Industrial Sector End-Use Consumption

The figure details Arkansas industrial sector end-use energy consumption by fuel type. In the industrial sector, natural gas has historically constituted the largest share of end-use consumption. However, the consumption of natural gas has been declining steadily since the late 1990s whereas the consumption of electricity has been steadily climbing. In this time period, industrial consumption of electricity has increased about 20 percent.
