1970-2004 Arkansas End-Use Consumption by Fuel Type

The figure provides a historical look at end-use consumption in Arkansas from 1970-2004. End-use refers to the final stage of consumption. Historically in Arkansas, electricity, petroleum, and natural gas dominate end use consumption. While natural gas, biomass, coal and "other" have remained fairly constant during this last decade, petroleum end-use consumption has increased 39% and electricity end-use consumption has increased nearly 50% in this same time period.
